Information About Imerovigli
Imerovigli is a charming village located in the north of Santorini, just 3.5 km from Fira. It is an extension of Firostefani and one of the most beautiful balconies of the island, perched on a higher cliff. The name Imerovigli comes from the word vigla, which means “observation deck” The location of the village gives a good view of the caldera and the volcano, and in the past, the villagers could see pirates ships approaching. Today the village of Imerovigli is one of the recognized traditional settlements.
